Amazon will soon start using NFC tags to identify goods for purchase from its online store. The new service involves an Amazon customer tapping his or her smart phone against a product in a physical store but instead will allow that same product to be bought from Amazon instead. Sounds weird? Well yes.
So here's the question: why would a competing store would agree to let Amazon NFC-tag its products and lose sales to Amazon?
